how to set buffer length for video using jw player

I am playing flv video in jw player. I set flashvars as

flashvars="file=/Content/resources/dock.flv&autoStart=false&image=/Content/resources/reporting.jpg&bufferlength=15"

If i click play button as soon as the page loads the video loads for some time and then plays. But if i click play button some time after the page load, the full video plays immediately without buffering. It seems buffering is not working. Please point the mistake if any.

I am using more videos in same page hence i want the videos to be downloaded only when the play button is clicked.

Ok, so as i see you don' t use the jwplayer module for Joomla, you used jwplayer standalone
