Greetings!

I'd been at this for some time, trying to get the CB Player to show a Youtube Playlist in the Joomla 1.5 Community Builder profile(s), and have a couple of issues to deal with.

There are no examples or explanations for utilizing the Youtube feature in allowing website members to add thier own playlists. I expect it may be asking for an actual XML RSS feed, however I can find no such feeds offered through youtube.

I'd been using the Wizard with various URLs with no luck using either player.swf nor yt.swf which tells me there must be something amiss here. Did this depend on an RSS Feed of individual Playlists? If so, I am unable to find mine on my youtube account and think they may have made a change there at yt.

Another concern is that although I can get the player to work fine with a single video from an article on my main page, when going to view a user-profile with the CB-Player, not only is the playlist not being displayed, but it is stating "You must have the Adobe Flash Player installed to view this player." (I have the Flash Player installed definately, perhaps it is not being detected, but then, it's fine on the main page).

What are the acceptable URLs/Types for the Joomla CB Field for RSS Feeds, especially where youtube is concerned? Are they exclusive to xml? Exactly what YouTube URL are we looking for to use in CB Player?

THANK YOU for your time!!! I'm redesigning a site for animal welfare, and looking to show videos to help save injured, ill or feral animals as well as peoples pets. The community involvement aspect would be such a great boon to interaction and education! Again, THANX for your valuable time.

-Tom

PS: I can send specific web address if needed via PM. And BTW, I always search exhaustivekly for the answer before inquiring. I saw nothing related to this, so hope to also help others with this post.

PPS: Please excuse me if this ended up in the wrong forum it was not intentional. Please move to the correct location if this is so. Thanx!

Same boat as the first poster here . Been tinkering and reading , just trying to get a simple music playlist to work .

Great tutorial for utube . Would have never figured that out .

How would one go about just having a music playlist . Was using last FM to try and do it with . Also looked a playlist.com . Just get errors on the feeds .

Thanks

Cool thanks .

On more Q of a curiosity note and I'm sure a question others will have . How do you determine the RSS feed for a site . I looked all over LastFM trying to figure it out . It looks like this will work with almost any media site but trying to figure out the feed is a stumper.
